Miss Mollie was sent the Salvation salve. Originally I thought it would be best to try one of their candles. (Hey, it removes doggie orders...that rocks my socks.), but as I spoke with the owner of Farm Dog and she learned of Mollie's bad skin...she told me she would send me the salve. She also gave me lots of helpful tips to help Mollie with her itchies. She really does know her stuff, and I felt as if she really wanted to help me (and Mollie).
The salve is a Godsend. I have been putting it on Mollie's hot spots and there's a dramatic change in her skin. It feels good on your hands when you put it on your puppy, and I feel great that I don't have any nasty chemicals on me or Mollie. A bonus is that it does not have an overwhelming smell.
It soothes her red, itchy skin and has allowed it time to heal. She went outside today and rolled around in the grass and came in itching again. I grabbed the salve and rubbed it on and she was fine! No more itchies!
This really is a MUST HAVE if you have a dog that has skin issues. It really feels like something I would put on my own skin. lol. Finally there's something that works for Mollie!!!! YAY!
Here's what Rita said about the salve when we were discussing it--
I would like to do a Salvation Salve to start because it is so wonderful for dogs. It will smooth a crusty nose in 4 days! It is also great for human eczema...amazing really. Salvation will calm yeast in the folds of dogs and a must for anyone with dogs like us. Wrinkles! Great for paw pads, dry skin and healing scrapes and such.GIVEAWAY:

I would like to try the Hard Tack made with chickpea flour, apple fiber, and peppermint. My dear hubby feeds our dogs too many biscuits a day. These vegan biscuits would definitely be more healthy...and maybe the peppermint would freshen the breath! :)

ReplyDeleteI don't have a dog, but I wanted to say how much I love companies like this!
ReplyDeleteI think the dog and I may need to share the salvation salve...I get really itchy legs. She has really bad allergies, and often gets itchy spots that she will not stop chewing/licking.
ReplyDeleteOne of our dogs has allergies and right now has serious hot spots that need to be treated. This would be a godsend.

ReplyDeletei'd like to try it on my doggy's pads. They're so rough and one looks like it has an owie!
I'm following you now on GFC! :)
ReplyDeleteMy newfie dog need the Farm Dog salve for his nose and paws. He roots around in the dirt so he has scratches on his nose that bleed and then the flies linger and bite his poor tender nose. Also, it would work wonders for his paws, especially in the winter when they get tender from walking on ice.

Leo (aka Mr. Puppers) went to the vet almost two months ago for his first hot spot. Then we thought it healed, but he kept picking at his old one and started a new hot spot.
ReplyDeleteLeo wants this salve because, if it works, it means I will stop putting his cone on. :)

ReplyDeleteMy ridgeback Andy needs this cream because she's recently had knee surgery and while she's recovered fine from that, she's had terrible stress and hormone issues. It's weakened her immunity, and she's been susceptible to spots, with losing hair and red spots. I'd hate to use chemicals on her!
